A “SHE” event is a gathering in a unique “cross generational” community of
women of all ages who feel called to be “their best” for God. We celebrate
the beauty of womanhood in every season—from pre-teen to maturity—being ‘safe, healthy and empowered’ means finding freedom in becoming the kind of woman God intended us to be.
How often do we get to sit down with women of all ages and life
experiences—and really get to the “heart” of things on issues that matter in
our life? Not often! The “SHE” event provides this kind of embracing
setting—with Rebecca and Evie leading us in a straight talk, from the heart,
commentary on living life as a Proverbs 31 woman in a where-
the-rubber-meets-the road 21st century world.
We’ll talk about the things we care about from purpose and security in God, to mentoring, to communicating more effectively with each other—whether teen to parent, or friend to friend—SHE is a place to come to network new knowledge and inspiration. Rebecca and Evie set their lives and their music before us to share God’s grace, His love—and His passion to reach us with biblical principals that speak to our heart on how special He created “woman” to be.
Whether you come to take notes, or just to take heart—a SHE conference is a
place to come meet “the girls” of every age who want to learn to sit at the
feet of Jesus and regain the real beauty of womanhood that the world has tried to take away.
A SHE event is open—and encouraging—whether you’re 8 or 80—to celebrate being a SHE woman—safe, healthy, and empowered in God.
Easter Weekend!
March 19, 2008
Easter is almost here can you believe it? Probably not with all of this crazy weather we have been having! If you have been wondering why Easter is so early this year, keep reading to the end of this post!
- 2008 Easter Eggstravaganza!
![[Easter Eggstravaganza Invitation Card]](http://liverpoolchurch.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/03/eggstravaganzacard.jpg)
- This coming weekend is also a perfect time to invite a friend to church! Almost everyone is going to church anyway, why shouldn’t a friend join you? We are starting “When Religion Isn’t Enough.” Normal service times: 9:30am & 11:00am with relevant programs for all children new born through grade 5! Click for series info:
- Ok, now for your trivia!

Have you ever wondered why Easter is sometimes in March, and then the next year might be at the end of April? I did a little (unofficial) research here & here, and it turns out that you can blame Pope Gregory the 13th. Greg, and a couple of his buddies (Lilius and Clavius), decided the current method 424 years ago.
Evidently, the aim of the Easter Dating Method is to maintain, for each Easter Sunday, the same season of the year and the same relationship to the preceding astronomical full moon that occurred at the time of Jesus’ resurrection in 30 A.D. A good goal, but very confusing.
You’ll be glad to know that there are limits. Easter can never be before March 22 or after April 25. This year is the earliest Easter any of us will ever see the rest of our lives, since it won’t happen again for another 152 years. Oh, and the last time it was this early was 1913.
Here are the dates for Easter for the next four years…
- 2009 – April 12
- 2010 – April 4
- 2011 – April 24
- 2012 – April 8
-
Let’s celebrate! We are going to have to wait more than a year until next Easter!
Just Walk Across The Room – Stories
March 16, 2008
This past Sunday (3/16/08) at Liverpool Community Church, Pastor Mac encouraged everyone to step out and take some action in loving our neighbors, the people in our communities. Hopefully you were able to come up with some specific & personal action items after the message (listen here if you missed it.) It would be great if you could share a story or two about taking action by leaving a comment below.
This is also the perfect place to share a story about about using one of the “This One’s On Me!” cards that were included in the Sunday service program!
Here is how:
Simply fill out the boxes at the bottom of the page (or click here if you are a subscriber,) if you want to remain anonymous simply write “anonymous” in the name box! Fill in your email address (this NEVER goes public & and you can even make one up if you want to remain anonymous from the church staff). Then, don’t worry about the “website” box unless you have your own blog. Lastly, write a little about your story of loving your neighbor! It will be a great encouragement everyone to read your story, so don’t feel like you are bragging, you are helping greatly!
“Let us outdo each other in being helpful and kind to each other and in doing good.” -Hebrews 10:24 (LB)
If you have a question just email Pastor Chris (Chris@LiverpoolChurch.com)
