30 Hour FamineOn Sunday, May 4 (after second service in the Youth Wing) there is an information meeting so parents of students (grades 6-12) can learn all about the 30 Hour Famine and how you can be involved.

You can go ahead and find out a little more on what this thing is all about by going to- 30HourFamine.org

We are going to be learning all about how we can make a real difference in the world and raising money that will make a real difference. Here is what we are raising money for:

  • World Vision - Raising $30 feeds one child for one month! Imagine what we could do as a group!
  • Kiva.org - We are going to set aside a portion of the funds raised to make 0% interest loans to entrepreneurs in Third World nations. We will be researching where we should invest, following updates from the business owners throughout the year, and then reinvesting the money into new businesses when the loans are repayed.

Questions? Send an email to Pastor Chris.

Relationships By Design

April 23, 2008

Spring is in the air and we are starting a new message series here at LCC on Sunday, April 27!

Relationships By Design is all about looking at God’s instructions for our relationships. We are going to take the next few weeks to look into some of the relationships in the Bible (the good, bad, and ugly) and take a look deeper into some of the stuff that Jesus said about relationships in order to see if there is something that God intended for our relationships that we are missing out on.

We all deal with relationships and we all want to have better relationships so this is the perfect series to jump in on for the first time. It is also the perfect time to invite a friend that you care about!

Seminar Help Needed

April 23, 2008

LCC is hosting a training seminar for adults youth ministry workers on May 3rd and your help is needed.

Adult volunteers who invest their lives in the lives of teenagers are traveling here to LCC from places like Ottawa (yes, Canada,) Binghamton, Northern Pennsylvania, Rochester, and all around CNY for a day of youth ministry training.

You can be a part of making their experience here at LCC a great one by volunteering as part of our “host team.” What’s involved?

  • A team of about 5 volunteers to help set up a bookstore area on Friday night, May 2, 6pm-8:30pm.)
  • A team of about 3 volunteers for registration on the 3rd. (7am-10am)
  • A team of 4 volunteers to work the bookstore during the day (lunch is included!) (9am-2pm)
  • A team of about 5 volunteers to put everything back to normal so we can be ready for Sunday morning (Sat. 2pm-4:30pm.)

Please send Pastor Chris (Chris@LiverpoolChurch.com) an email and let him know which area you would like to be a part of.
