What’s currently in your CD player?
CD Player, what’s that!? Anyway, on my iPod I am listening to a whole bunch of U2, David Crowder Band, Steve Fee, & John Mayer.
Why did you first come to Liverpool Community Church?
Sarah (my wife) and I first showed up at LCC on a Sunday morning because we were looking for a church in the area and we were going to meet some friends of ours at a different local church. We found out that we had the times of the worship gatherings wrong so we decided to stop by LCC to see what was going on. We found the church to be so real and welcoming that we actually never did go visit that other church!
What did you want to be when you grew up?
Hmmm… I think that around age 5 or 6 I really wanted to be a fireman (my dad was a volunteer fire fighter.) Then I really wanted to be a professional hockey player and play for the Edmonton Oilers! After those dreams were dashed, during my high school years I decided that I wanted to be a physical therapist. I actually went to college and studied physical therapy for almost two years. But now when I grow up I want to be a student ministries pastor:-)
What’s your idea of a perfect day?
The perfect day is:
- sleeping in until around 9am
- getting ready for the day in no rush
- heading out to Bruegger’s (on Taft Rd.) for devotional time
- making my way into the office where there are no tech problems awaiting me
- going to a student’s extra-curricular activity
- hang out time & dinner with Sarah
- then it depends on the day of the week
- Sun, Mon, Tue, or Wed.- do some good reading
- Thu. – watch The Office
- Fri or Sat. – Go to Cornell to watch Big Red hockey!
- get a good night’s sleep!
