Share Your Stories! {Real Life Series}

September 19, 2010

Today, (September 19, 2010) our church stepped out of the normal routine and into serving the community in different ways.

In other words,, we got off the couch.

Please use the comment area below to share your story of how you served.  Let your stories be an encouragement to the people of LCC and all of Liverpool!

    We brought donuts to the Greater Baldwinsville Ambulance Corps on Sunday as part of the Real Life Series. What a great way to serve those who serve us. They were very appreciative and they gave the kids a tour of the ambulance. Thanks to LCC for prompting us to get off the couch.

    Brought Candy to the Bayberry Post Office and the Baldwinsville Library and both said what a thoughtful thing to do. Really surprised

    We picked up garbage in Onondaga Park and picked up some things for the SPCA. Sydney wants to pick up garbage every day now! :) It was alot of fun and (funny!)! :)

    A mutual friend (who doesn’t go to our church) called another church member to tell her about something that happened to her…her meal was paid for at a McDonald’s drive thru and that she got a card. I ran in to the mutual friend who began to relate the story to me and I laughed and said I’d already heard it. She then got a funny look on her face and questioned, “Do you think they would have paid for my lunch and did a good deed if they knew I was Jewish??” I assured her it didn’t matter!

Got something to say?
